Safety & Health Officer - KESM (Petaling Jaya)

Responsibilities:-

To plan and develop for the implementation and administration of safety and health policies and practices to meet legal requirements
To support the safety & health committee and Emergency Response Team (ERT).
To ensure all scheduled wastes storage and inventory is in compliance with requirements
To perform factory inspection and to co-ordinate with Facility Department to ensure update of all DOSH machineries inspection schedule.
To investigate, analyze, make recommendation and maintain reports of industrial incidents / accidents or work hazards to determine causes and propose for preventive measures.
To coordinate and conduct where applicable, yearly fire drill, chemical spillage and first aid drills.
To maintain the documentation for DOE, DOSH and ISO procedures
To assist HR Manager in matters pertaining to general affairs e.g. hostel, canteen and foreign workers management.

Requirements:-

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or other related field.
Must be a Registered Safety & Health officer with DOSH with 5 years’ experience. At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing environment or related field is required.
Well-versed with the Occupational Health & Safety Act. Knowledge in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, TS 16949 & OHSAS 18001 compliance process, DOSH, DOE and federal / state Safety & Health requirements.
Required languages: English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Computer literate; Possess good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deliver
Possess good administrative and organisation skills
