Safety & Health Officer - Esquel (Penang)

In line with our progression, we invite dynamic and self-motivated personnel to join our Penang team in the following position:



Job Responsibilities:

To plan, develop, implement and maintain environmental, safety & health activities/ programs, policies and procedures, EASI and HIRA assessments in accordance with regulatory compliance requirements.
To perform daily factory inspection and to update all DOSH machineries inspection schedule.
To support factory audits by various parties such as buyers, authorities and ISO and follow-up efforts or any relevant projects as required by management.
To prepare and conduct of EHS training programs in conjunction with internal and external training providers.
To investigate, analyze, make recommendation and maintain reports of industrial incidents / accidents or work hazards to determine causes and propose for preventive measures.
To establish and support the safety & health committee and Emergency Response Team (ERT).
To coordinate and conduct where applicable, yearly fire drill, chemical spillage and first aid drills.
To track the usage, cost and distribution of the PPE of user departments and coordinate the inspection, upkeep, work permit, and maintenance of the Fire Fighting Equipment and other safety equipments.
To maintain the documentation for DOE, DOSH and ISO procedures.


Job Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health.
Must be a Registered Safety & Health Officer with DOSH.
At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing environment or related field is required.
Well-versed with the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
Knowledge in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 compliance process, DOSH, DOE and federal / state Safety & Health requirements.
Required languages: English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia.
Computer literate in MS. Office programs.
